About us
We are a group of Bengali speaking people connecting over 5000 families in the North Dallas suburbs who are rooted to the "Sanatan" Bengali Culture.
Sanatan Dharma ideals guide "Amra Bangali", in its efforts to connect people by social threads of cultural values with an objective to improve our community. In addition to cultural and various religious observations, our objective is to inspire and elevate the young minds of the community, nurture children's holistic growth in learning, education, skills, character development, language, arts, global cultural heritage and to create a supportive and stimulating community environment.
We think every child has special potential, and with a little assistance, we will be able to bring out those traits. To make a positive difference, our team of committed mentors and volunteers works very hard. We emphasize the value of education, social values, and cultural understanding related to one's origins. We believe in "Sanskrit: वसुधैव कुटुम्बकम्" (Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam) that means the world is a family. We welcome all community members to participate in our programs without any discrimination.
We believe that unity with diversity is a beautiful phenomenon of the modern world we live in. We need to nurture every bud to bloom to their own unique hue and color and make our society bright, vibrant and beautiful.
